Located in the heart of downtown Calgary, The PlayPenn Child Care Centre is an employer-sponsored child care centre providing priority placement to the employees of Penn West.

The PlayPenn is Licensed to care for 82 children, from infants to six years old. Hours of operation are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.

BabyWorks is a unique child care centre that responds to the urgent need among Calgary families for exemplary care for infants and young toddlers. It is the only daycare centre in the city that focuses solely on babies and very young toddlers.

BabyWorks is designed to help families transition more confidently from parental leave into the workplace by providing reliable, high-quality and loving childcare. BabyWorks caters to the special needs of babies and parents who may be accessing professional childcare for the first time.

BabyWorks is licensed for 32 children from birth to 24 months of age. Hours of operation: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

BabyWorks offers:

  • A quiet, loving environment specially created for babies
  • Infant-based programming that promotes all stages of development
  • A culture in which parent involvement is strongly encouraged

BabyWorks is operated by Churchill Park Family Care Society out of Saint Barnabas Church at 1407 7th Avenue NW, but shares no spiritual affiliation with the church.

Some space is currently available at BabyWorks, which opened November 3, 2008. BabyWorks is located on key Calgary Transit and commuter routes leading in and out of the downtown core.

Churchill Park’s Early Learning and Care Centre is licensed to care for 32 children aged 19 months to 6 years. Hours of operation: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Early Learning and Care Centre offers:

  • A large variety of educational toys and equipment
  • A full-size, indoor gymnasium to use for a variety of play experiences
  • A full-time cook to prepare nutritious lunches and snacks
  • Parent involvement through special family functions

The program celebrates the diversity of the community. Churchill Park’s Early Learning and Care Centre, although located in the Northminster United Church, shares no spiritual affiliation with the church.

Space is currently available at this child care centre, which opened November 1, 2007. The centre is located on key Calgary Transit and commuter routes leading in and out of the downtown core.

Located in the Hillhurst Community Assocation, the Hillhurst Sunnyside Daycare Centre is licensed to care for 64 children, aged 19 to 83 months. Hours of operation: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Hillhurst Sunnyside Day Care Centre offers:

  • Parent fee subsidies
  • A large variety of educational toys and equipment
  • A full-time cook to prepare nutritious lunches and snacks
  • Parent involvement through special family functions

This day care centre gives priority placement to parents located in the community of Hillhurst Sunnyside, but all families are welcome to apply.

Located in the heart of downtown Calgary, the Pump-kin Patch Day Care Centre is an employer-sponsored child care centre providing priority placement to employees of Petro-Canada Corporation and TransCanada Pipeline Ltd.

The Pump-kin Patch is licensed to care for 80 children, from infants to six-year-olds. Hours of operation: 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Pump-kin Patch Day Care Centre offers:

  • Parent fee subsidies
  • A large variety of educational toys and equipment
  • A full-time cook to prepare nutritious lunches and snacks
