

Sharon Reib
Executive DirectorSharon Reib accepted the lead position with Churchill Park in July 2011. As a born and raised Calgarian, she understands the changing needs of families in our diverse city and is committed to ensuring that Churchill Park remain a leader in child care and early learning. Sharon received both her Bachelor of Education and her Master of Arts degrees from the University of Calgary. Her areas of specialization and coursework include early childhood, language and reading, curriculum development, special education and ESL, professional development, and leadership. She has spent most of her career as a teacher and principal and has also worked at the district and provincial level overseeing ESL programming. She is happy that her new position allows her to remain connected to children, learning and teaching, strengthening community, and in advancing the vision of Churchill Park. She is also very excited about being part of the non-profit world, having spent some time working as a board member with Families Matter. Sharon’s core values centre around building relationships, being responsive to family and community needs, shared leadership and excellence.
Dionne Harlos
Director of AdministrationDionne has been with Churchill Park since 1996 and, in that time, has worked in many of the programs in the agency. She is Director of Administration and an active member of the Executive Team. She is originally from Saskatchewan, and received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Regina. Dionne is certified as a Child Development Supervisor in the province of Alberta and recently completed her Non-Profit Management Certificate from Mount Royal University. Dionne loves to spend time with her large family and can often be found golfing, curling or at the baseball diamonds.
Christie Scarlett
Program LeadChristie began with Churchill Park Family Care Society in December 2004 as a Dayhome Consultant and moved to being the Program Manager of Family Childcare. She then moved her career to Churchill Park’s newest program BabyWorks where she was the Program Manager. Christie has completed her Early Childhood Supervisor Certificate and her Children’s Mental Health Certificate at Mount Royal University. She enjoys spending quality time with her family taking in the many family activities and events Calgary has to offer.
Montana Desjardins
Program LeadMontana moved to Cochrane in May 2011. Although she grew up in Musqudoboit Harbour Nova Scotia, she has completed her post-secondary education in both Montreal Quebec and Toronto Ontario. New to the executive team at Churchill Park Family Care Society as of November 2011, Montana brings her experience from across Canada in working in early childhood education, family support programs as well as working with children in Toronto’s cancer support community. Montana looks forward to completing her Masters of Education and Counselling.
Dina Ottoni-Battistessa
Program LeadDina is currently away on maternity leave and will return in December 2012.
Dina moved to Calgary, from Montreal Quebec in June 2005 and has been with Churchill Park since May 1 2006. Dina started as the program manager of the family day home team and was successful in growing and strengthening the program. Dina transitioned from program manager to the quality support role in 2010 and participated in many projects, notably the 2011 Churchill Park strategic plan and the 2010 and 2011 professional development days. Dina has now taken on the role of Program Lead and is an active member of the executive team. Dina has completed her Bachelors Degree in Child Studies from Concordia University. She has gone on to complete some graduate classes in the field and plans to complete a graduate degree in Coaching.
